A friend on Steam recently gifted this game for me. I was a little skeptical as to how well it would run on my computer (it was spec'd for the release of Bioshock in 2007), but I graciously accepted anyway. I wanted to check out the game for myself regardless.
I recently had the chance to install the game and give it a go. I am continually amazed by the ongoing innovation in video game graphics and technology. While playing through the first mission, the game seemed to run OK, so I guessed that my tower was going to handle it better than expected. I started experiencing a bit of slowdown on the second mission, but at least it wasn't stalling. Then it happened. My computer just shut down, evidently from overheating.
So I guess I wasn't totally delusional. I'm getting to the point where I need to upgrade again. My 360 needs a new drive, and a more powerful tower is needed for modern day gaming. It's amazing how much hardware has come down in price though. It's going to be easy to replace my tower.
As for the game, yes, I liked what I saw. I'm going to need a little more to go on to talk more about it though.
