Chrono Trigger

One of my friends brought my attention to the fact that I had yet to play Chrono Trigger. I recall watching my friends play it when it first came out, but he was right; I had yet to actually play it for myself - despite the fact that the PlayStation port/remake has been sitting on my shelf for several years.

Last fall, I finally got around to loading up this classic on my PS2, and have been working my way through it ever since. While I haven't finished the game yet, I've already finished the Black Omen once, and intend to go through it 2 more times.

Although it's an RPG, I haven't found Trigger to be terribly time consuming. A lot of RPGs get to be a bit of a grind after awhile, but Trigger seems to move along at a satisfactory pace. Even in the limited time I have to play games, I was able to make some progress in short periods of time.

All in all, Chrono Trigger is a terrific game. The music is fantastic, and the storyline engaging, but personally, I still have to say that Final Fantasy VI is far more memorable. However, I can see how Chrono Trigger has had a significant impact on subsequent RPG releases.
