I lived in Japan for eight and a half years, and returned to Canada in 1997.
As result, when I first returned to Canada, I was ahead of the curve in terms of video games. I knew about games no one knew about, and I knew who was going to win the then-current console wars.
However, I missed some things back in North America while I was in Japan, like grunge music.
Over time, I got used to life back in Canada, and stopped keeping up with new developments in Japan. That’s how I missed games like this one. The classic gaming night was the first time I played Kirby Superstar.
